48. Flower of Life Kurume-kasuri hat - grayMade of hand-loomed organic cotton Kurume-kasuri textile with symbolic Flower of Life motif. The kasuri worn by Shotoku Taishi (Prince Shotoku, Asuka period) is housed in the Horyu-ji Temple Homotsukan Museum. It is thought to be the oldest kasuri in Japan dating from around the sixth century, when Buddhism was first introduced to Japan.
